In the DepilConcept chain, permanent hair removal treatments are performed using the latest Super Hair Removal (SHR) technology with the In Motion system. It is a technology of a quick, effective and comfortable method of permanent hair reduction.
What is SHR (Super Hair Removal) in Motion epilation?
The SHR technology is the latest version of the IPL technology and uses the latest solutions in the field of photo-epilation. SHR photo-epilation is effective because of the gradual heating of the hair follicle by means of multiple overlapping pulses. The procedure is characterized by the way it is performed, ie In Motion – that is “in motion”. Each impulse has a uniquely low energy, as a result of which the skin is heated only until it is supplied with sufficient total energy to damage the hair follicle.
Who is SHR in Motion epilation for?
For all people who are fed up with constant hair removal and for those who react badly to traditional methods of depilation (irritation, folliculitis, ingrown hair). Thanks to SHR technology, we can also damage light hair! This is a breakthrough in the technology of permanent hair removal methods. The method can be used on all body zones, most often we epilate:
- mustache,
- face,
- armpits,
- arms,
- legs,
- groin / bikini bottom
The method is used more and more often by men who want to get rid of unsightly hair on the back and chest, and women who, due to hormonal factors, have a problem with excessive facial hair.
How does SHR in Motion epilation work?
Melanin (a natural substance found in the body which determines the pigment of the skin and hair) in the hair is a chromophore, i.e. a substance capable of absorbing light. The rays emitted by the head of our device are converted into thermal energy inside the hair. As a result, the hair bulb is significantly overheated, which in turn leads to permanent damage.
Our device is designed in such a way as to minimize energy losses and not to overheat the tissues surrounding the hair follicle. The main beam of radiation focuses on the melanin contained in the hair. This allows you to significantly increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the treatment.
SHR in Motion depilation and a tan
A tan, regardless of whether it was created naturally (sun) or artificially (solarium, self-tanning), takes a very large dose of light energy – due to the increased amount of dye. In this case, postpone the SHR depilation treatments and wait until the skin turns pale – then you will avoid the risk of burns and skin irritation. The same happens in people with very dark skin (higher phototypes). In such people, the treatments may be ineffective and carry the risk of irritation.
How often do hair removal treatments?
The treatment program is determined individually depending on the color of the skin, hair and individual reaction to treatments. Generally, each set of sessions includes, on average, at least 7-10 treatments repeated cyclically every 3-4 weeks (due to different phases of growth of individual hairs).
Indications for the SHR in Motion hair removal treatment
In addition to the obvious indication of the desire to get rid of hair, there are a number of medical and aesthetic indications that specifically qualify a person to undergo the procedure. These are:
- poor effectiveness of other treatments (very fast hair regrowth) as long as some women have no problem with epilation, because one treatment per week or more is enough for them, these are people who cannot cope with regular epilation of the body due to the very rapid regrowth of unwanted hairs . In extreme cases, you may need to shave your hair twice a day to keep your body smooth!
- excessive skin sensitivity to pain – in relation to clients who are looking for permanent hair removal methods, but are unable to bear the pain associated with waxing or electric epilator,
- tendency to burst blood vessels – associated with waxing or using an epilator,
- hypersensitivity to chemical depilatory agents – hair removal creams. Some people do not tolerate this type of preparations, others have allergies to them, there are also (most) people for whom such depilation does not bring any effects
- hair growing into the skin after hair removal with other methods – this is an individual problem that affects practically all women to a greater or lesser extent, regardless of the methods of depilation,
- the inability to eliminate “black dots” after shaving, such as the skin of the armpits – a problem that is often seen in people using razors. The armpits, even immediately after shaving, look as if the hair has grown back – it is related to the showing of thick bulbs from under the skin surface. Hair removal with the bulbs gives good results, but if you are additionally accompanied by the problem of ingrown hair, the only effective method is permanent hair reduction,
- pimples in the bikini area – i.e. inflammation of the hair follicles, which in these areas is particularly common – IPL hair removal using SHR In Motion technology is a way to combat folliculitis not only in the bikini area,
- excessive hair due to hormonal disorders – e.g. facial hair in women, lower abdominal hair, i.e. hair that theoretically should not occur in women,
- excessive back or chest hair in men – due to psychological factors, the fight with unwanted hair can be difficult – regular waxing treatments are painful and embarrassing, and shaving with a razor is enough for a short time and leads to the embarrassing view of hair regrowth,
- dark mustache and single hairs on the chin in women – their regular removal can be a problem every day.
IPL hair removal in SHR technology is the perfect solution for women who suffer from hirsutism (read more here ). Just a few treatments can reduce facial or chest hair, significantly improving the quality of life of a person struggling with this problem.
Advantages of IPL SHR in Motion epilation
The photo-epilation treatment eliminates all the problems that usually accompany other hair removal methods. Is:
- painless,
- does not cause irritation,
- permanently reduces hair,
- allows you to get rid of problems with folliculitis, ingrown hair and unsightly black dots under the arms,
- can be performed on people with sensitive skin and capillaries,
- offers a wide range of possibilities for people with different complexions and different hair colors,
- it is fast and comfortable,
- it is much cheaper than other methods of permanent hair reduction.
Treatments are minimally invasive, so we can perform them without any problems during breaks between daily duties. The lack of irritation does not generate problems related to the need for convalescence – you can return to your daily activities within a few minutes after the treatment.
The effects of IPL SHR in Motion hair removal treatment
The effects of the treatments are progressing gradually, and in most clients they are visible after the first treatment. After about 10-14 days, damaged hair falls out. After the first treatment, you can get rid of about 20-30% of the hair. An additional effect is that the hair growth slows down, which reduces the need for frequent shaving.
After the full series of treatments, we recommend performing treatments resembling min. once every six months maintaining the obtained results.
Reminding treatments are performed individually depending on the regenerative abilities of the person’s body.

Skin care before and after the SHR in Motion depilation treatment
Before the SHR in Motion depilation treatment
Appropriate skin preparation is very important in the context of increasing the effectiveness of treatments. By following the recommendations, we avoid the risk of possible irritation and significantly increase the effects of epilation. Before the SHR hair removal treatment, you should:
- Do not tan 2 weeks before the procedure
- On average, 2 weeks before the procedure, you should stop taking photosensitizing substances (more about substances here )
- 1-3 weeks before the procedure, you should give up any invasive cosmetic treatments, e.g. microdermabrasion, chemical peels, fillers, botox, etc.
- 4 weeks before the depilation treatment, you should stop removing hair and hair bulbs (waxing)
- 24-48 hours before the procedure, do not use brightening creams and perfumed cosmetics and do not swim in highly chlorinated water (swimming pool),
- 2 days before the treatment, do not use peels and aggressive cosmetics, the skin on the day of the treatment should not be lubricated with anything, clothes should be loose and comfortable, and the client should drink more liquids than usual.
After the SHR in Motion depilation treatment
- as in the case of pre-treatment care: resignation from sunbathing, light-sensitizing substances and invasive cosmetic treatments – if the client decides to undertake a whole series of treatments – due to the time intervals, the recommendations apply throughout the entire therapy period,
- a few days after the treatment, avoid any irritating cosmetics, such as anti-cellulite creams or cosmetics with AHA or BHA acids – of course, all this applies only to the area subjected to the treatment, nothing prevents you from applying an anti-cellulite lotion to the face after photorejuvenation. stomach,
- DepilConcept Regeneration Gel should be applied to the treatment areas daily;
- you should use a moisturizing protective cream with the DepilConcept filter every day on the areas subjected to IPL treatments, in particular on the face (even every 2-3 hours!).
